Who here thinks the Friday the 13th remake is not gonna be such a great hit?Just to sum up for people who dont know, the remake is going to basically be part 2-4, without the mask changes, etc. It will probably sum up how jason came to be, and then get into the plot, the typical camp slasher. So far, the script is rumored to open with a bunch of teens roaming the crystal lake woods looking for some special weed they planted, when they make an encounter with a new Jason. From what I have heard, they have been planning an elaborate "hills have eyes" type Jason. I am really hoping they go simple, and go classic. Like part 3, with the smile and "charm" almost that richard brooker had as Jason. Hopefully they stick to the classic workshirt and light pants. I thought it would be cool if Jason was unmasked for the entire movie, and had that part 3 stalky look, it would be great. MOSTLY day time footage. And near the end, Jason getting the hockeymask and getting a couple kills, then axed in the head, OR MAYBE something different that will become the new significant mark of the hockeymask (oppose to the hockeymask)."The role of Jason [Voorhees] was basically dumped in my lap. But I would put on the mask in a minute if they asked me to do it again." - CJ GrahamBoy do I wish. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" />

well im not too fond of the idea, simply on the fact that ive never liked remakes but like Mick said, kane or cj would be awesome if either of them were to be used.

As long as it's not Ken I'd be happy... but yeah I expect them to butcher it..

personally i'm an optimist on this. they're bringing in a lot of the same people that were involved with the TCM remakes, and those were darn good IMO. also, i don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but why is it that everybody (generally speaking) is usually so anal on remakes being exactly like the originals? the originals are still around and always will be. people are always freaking out as if the original is going to suddenly disappear and all they'll have is a potentially crappy remake. i mean, the whole point of remaking a movie is to make it different and create a completely new experience, while following only the most basic concepts of the source material.just my two cents. i don't mean to sound cranky about it or anything, i'm just saying.. there isn't even a script yet, why not just give it a chance and see where they take it?

I'm optimistic as well. As I'm sure everyone knows, I'm a huge fan of the TCM remake and since Marcus Nispel is doing this as well, I'm hoping he makes it everything I'm expecting from it.

    I hope they don't get Kane Hodder back as Jason.I mean he's a great guy and a terrific actor,but his Jason is a little too aggresive and well...short. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" />

Tom, when it comes to Jason, TO agressive is a good thing <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> And to short? jason has always been in the 6 ft ratio, the tallest Jason I think was in pt4,followed by Cj and Kane, who are both at about 6'2 or 3.I personally hate Jason as a big tall lumbering charector,He looked goofy as crap in FVSJ with that tall frame and zero shoulder width, went from looking all menacing, jacked up and disgusting, to almost a cute frankenstein like charector.
