Please Help Figure Out What Movie This Is...

For a long time, I've been trying to figure out what movie this is. My dad rented/or borrowed it on vhs way back in the day. I even wrote about it on a different forum trying to figure it out, but with no luck.Maybe someone here might of seen itProbably late 70's to mid 80's range. Takes place in a foreign country. Two Americans are traveling abroad and are in this city. Starts out with them having lunch outside a resturant. There was something about this city/town where once a year, demons from hell roam the streets at night in search of whatever fool would be outside. So...The Americans were warned by the locals, that very night was the night the evil ones would appear. They obviously didn't believe the story and when night fell, they found out first hand that the stories were true as they found themselves running/hiding, trying to stay alive.Does this ring any bells to anyone here. I'd really love to see this film again, but I just need a title.Thanks guys!

I can see how AWIL comes to mind, but it's something else for sure. The two American guys were warned by the locals while they were eating lunch outside during the daytime. They were warned to be gone from that town before night. And the demons eventually took one of them back to "hell" or someplace like it. This is a tough one.
