This was actually my first high end piece. I got it from Martin Jay Sadoff, 3-D Consultant on “Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3-D.” He was trying to sell it on eBay in late 1999 and early 2000 without pictures and this was before really any good Hockey Masks were out there. He listed in the description that it was used in the movie “Friday the 13th Part 3.” I jumped on it for $1000. Again, he said he couldn’t send me any pics and he promised that I would not be disappointed. You could imagine the disappointment when I received it. The story from Martin then changed to it being used during a stint on Entertainment Tonight on a segment where someone wearing this mask slashed thru a screen to scare Mary Hart the host. Who cares?! I wanted my money back, he refused and eBay stood behind him thinking it was the mask even after I showed them pics of it. And guess what, about 1 month later he said he had the original mold from Martin Becker and was trying to pawn that on me for $2000. Thru the years I’ve heard that he’s had a “Powder Problem” (wink wink, hint hint.) and the money I sent him went to pay the people he owed because he apparently owed some big wigs in the business. (But that’s what I heard, I don’t know if I WANT to believe it’s true or it is.)Every day I look at this mask and utter disappointment.

I think the first high end piece I bought was Russ Lukich's Bud (Bub from Day of the Dead) Shortly thereafter, I remember getting Pennywise from Chuck Jarman of Bump back when he was doing custom pieces! Those were the days!!DaveChainsaw9

My first high end mask was an Evilution. I was looking at Myers masks online trying to find one that looked better than "the mask" and I found a site that was comparing the independent Myers masks. I contacted Justin, but he wasn't selling them at the time, so I had to watch eBay. I got one of the first run Nightowl/HMA copies.

Obviously if anyone hasn't known by now, my first high end mask was the spfx fred. Paid the price for it literally! I first heard about it on some guy's website while I was searching for Freddy masks on google which eventually led me to these forums.

My first high end was my Freddy "Cocco," silicone that I got recently. I am very happy with it, so the fact that it costed me a small fortune doesnt make me feel bad because I know I will enjoy it for years. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />
