Usually if you have a villain throughout most of the film, it is hard to bring that villain back in a sequal unless you change him/her around some. If he were to be in 3, many viewers would feel as though they had already seen it all in 2, and nothing would be too exciting. Joker, on the other hand, is a character in which could return because he is so dynamic. Not to mention the history he and Batman gain over the years. The ending basically eluded to Batman Begins, with Batman having to start from square one. Not being able to simply walk down the street without cops chasing him down and trying to arrest him. The only cop that EVER trusted Batman was Gordan. Batman is a vigialante. He is liked by some, and hated by most. Being apart of society would do nothing but cause more problems in the long run. Batman thought that Dent was a good man, and that HE was the hero that Gotham needed. Not a man who hides his face behind a mask. There for, he took the blame for the deaths that Dent caused, and led everyone to believe that Dent was still that "hero"that the city needed. _____________________________________________________________<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndThank you <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

Not only the greatest "comic book" movie ever made, but one of the best films I have seen in ages. Everything worked. Amazing characters, Great acting, Drama,Violence, Action, and all that. And I will never drink approx. 80oz of coke in onesitting again... I had to literally run to the bathroom about half way in. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" />

As much as I love Batman, to know that a 3rd will be made is just scary. I don't see how they will ever top this movie, or any other comic book film at that. Also, I don't want to sound like a p*ss or anything, but I will be honest. Towards the end of the movie, I actually had a feeling building up inside while watching Ledger's final moments. It's that same feeling you get right before you are about to cry. I think it was that moment that I finally let Heath's death sink it.I held it back but I coulda teared up right then and there, and I ain't afraid to admit it. RIP

Spoilers*I was blown away in everyway. Fooling us with Gordons death, the harbor boats forced decision scene with the two triggers that proved that people are mostly good, Two Face's gory chared face that was convincing for cgi, just to name a few things. I felt in many ways the film kind of parrelled The Departed in you could not trust anyone since greed is the root of all evil. I loved trying to figure out who the informants or corrupt cops were. Just so many layers and soooo dark and moody. Easily the smartest comic movie to date and the most explosive. I also felt that somber feeling during Health's final scenes like I did watching The Crow. He really does deserve an Oscar for his performance. Amazing film!!!!!!!

Saw the midnight on thursday. WOW! Greatest interpretation of a batman story on film ever. Ledger absolutely STOLE the show. I am still absolutely blown away at his performance. I am so glad that Nolan and Goyer gave him the appropriate source material for the role; The Killing Joke, The Man Who Laughs, and A Death in the Family. That was the Joker that we saw. Bravo!
