Well hello Night Owl! My name is Mark! i used to be on the boards a year or two ago...mabey even longer..i dont know, its been soo long i cant remember . anyway some of you older lurkers mabey remember me as DEATH_JESTER..mabey not lol. either way it feels good to be back apart of the boards. i feel like i should break in the new membership with a post. some of you may have already seen this in a post left by my friend Hector aka psychosocial91 in the hayride pic thread..but i wanted to post more pics and get some feed back and some critiques on this silicone mask i made! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />this is us lol before the lifecasting took place<a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/maskmaking.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m.../maskmaking.jpg</a>this is the fresh clay positive straight out of the alginate!needs a little clean up but i was impressed<a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/lifecast-1.gif\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m.../lifecast-1.gif</a>this is after the clean up (p.s. these are all crappy cell phone pics..sorry)<a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/lifecast-2.gif\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m.../lifecast-2.gif</a>then the fun part..imean i could of just molded it then and then cut the cast apart but i wanted it to show kind of show tension from the stitching and such plus i kinda worked in the angle of a fresh kill version of the remake mask<a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/lifecast-3.gif\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m.../lifecast-3.gif</a>well here is the final sculpt right before molding neck added and ears resculpted.<a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/lifecast-4.gif\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m.../lifecast-4.gif</a>and last but not least the fruits of my labor lol cast in gel 10 silicone painted with pigments stitched and haired(hand layed and punched.. not to shabby for an inspired 17 year old huh? everything went prettymuch perfectly so i was super stoked altho..due to a painting error it left the mask kinda redish pink .. looked like a heavey mottled blushing .. it doesnt look bad it just wasnt the look i was goin for <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> lemme know what you think! <a href=\"http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/mawkmicrowave/lifecast-mask.gif\" target=\"_blank\">http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/m...fecast-mask.gif</a>thanks in advance ,Mark

Very cool looking. So when pouring silicone, what is the master mold made of? I would love to get some to try out.Pat

i made a mold from hydro-cal and sealed it with a soap solution .. its fun stuff yet im really new to it.. it was a slosh more than a pour .. i thought it would be much more viscous than it was so there was alittle pooling but the gel time was pretty quick so i didnt mind
