I have had many bad experiences with UPS with damage even if the item is well packaged.Their large brokerage fees for international buyers are ridiculous.I would never use them as a shipping method even if it was for free.Fedex has been really reliable for me on fragile items such as lifesize busts.7 out of 10 people do not know how to package an item so that it does not get damaged in transit.

My local carriers with the post office have crammed and folded envelopes clearly marked "DO NOT BEND" on them into my mailbox....left boxes in the rain, etc, etc. And its getting worse. My local PO covers a large urban area and is always f'n packed and they always have only one clerk on duty. Every time I go there to mail a package I get behind one of the following:A. 93 year old lady who can't decide on which book of stamps to buyB. 77 year old asian who is mailing 8 packages to some Asian country

They aren't much better here...I had to pay Pitt to reissue my master's because the carrier bent it in half in my mailbox a few weeks back...there was even cardboard in the envelope with it. Unacceptable.

Wow, that takes a set to put on someone's mail, especially during the storm.
