If anything a Jason X peice And about those masks..... They are a little bit cartoonish. Though mostly it is eyes. They are not deep enough in the skull or they just don't have a normal eyeball shape. Take for example your last mask. It had a pretty good shape for the head but it was that 1 normal eye that gave it a cartoonish look, so seriously listen to those other guys. I know your rolling your eyeballs at this but there is not enough of Independant mask makers out there. So seriously keep it up

Hey man I know some people come off a little harsh but when someone critiques your work dont take it to heart.Apparently you liked pluto or you would not have went to the trouble to mold, pour, and paint it.But if you are trying to make a mask to sell to the horror community, they are by far the best people to judge your work good or bad. Each person here is really a potential customer. If your doing it for fun then dont worry.I have been sculpting a piece myself for about a month and a half and probably have started over no less than 10 times.I can say this is no easy task and must take years to master and then everyone can always learn more..... Just remember a person on here who critiques your work might one day be a customer if they like what they see...Take it easy man good luck with your sculpting..

Not enough young Jason 1 pieces, however... you know what I really, REALLY want? A young Jason 8 piece-- like the part where he has hair. That would be badassociation.I myself was thinking of attempting one.<img src=\"http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6849/tbm1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

I do understand what you guys are saying but not one person in the world will make a perfect sculpt when they are beginners, not even our own beloved J-man. here is a good example: when you look at masks like: Raw, Raw 2, Raw 3, hack, maggotthead v1, etc, I do not see any accuracy whatsoever. they are all extremely cartoonish but you guys dont complain because they are all kick butt sculpts and now considered classic NIGHTOWL masks. strange huh ?

Just do your own thing man. Every artist has to start somewhere and there will always be those that will talk the big talk but don't know how to draw a stick figure. Nobody forces anyone to look at a mask or buy it for that matter. If a person doesn't like it that's fine, I am sure there are others that will.As for a mask to sculpt I would go with something that YOU love, something that has lots of meaning to you and is important to you. That way you will pour your heart and soul in it and in the end it will show. This will help you a lot to grow as an artist as well as you will be your own worst critic!

When I first sculpted my unlucky 7, there was absolutely no interest in it, just alot of bad comments but eventually I got interest in it a sold a few, enough to make it worth sculpting, I love that sculpt because I achieved what I was after. I wanted it to look VERY exaggerated. my own take on it. I am definately my own worst critic, I am a obsessive when it comes to detail. I sculpted pluto for many reasons. I have only seen a few of them and I could also use the hood as a part 3, 4, and remake. I know I still have a long way to go but I think I have come pretty far for the time that I have been doing it. My intentions of sculpting, molding, casting, painting, etc are to obviously grow as an artist but also to be happy with what I am doing because to me this is something that I have wanted to do my whole life and feel very blessed that I now have the time, energy, ambition and passion. I know I have a few fans out there and I appreciate all of them, And I think it shows in my work. thanks for all comments guys because I need to hear them all <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Hey, don't take what they are saying personally. I think they are just trying to help you out, they don't mean any malice. You recently posted this:"It seems when people start help topics or topis showing off new pieces or sculpts, no one seems to care or want to comment or help"And I think that is exactly what these guys are doing. Take care and keep it up!

The Raw 3 kicks the crap out of any part 7!Justin's masks are Cartoonish? The only "Cartoonish" masks of Justin's are the ones that are based on cartoon monsters.
