And if you can't give dialogue in a convincing fashion... it pulls the audience out of the movie. Movies give us moments where we can step out of reality and into a make believe world (unless depicting actual events). But if the actors can't give lines in a convincing fashion... we'll remember at all times that we're just watching a movie instead of tricking our minds that what we're seeing is real for those 2 hours. Go watch Troll 2 and then come back and say actors don't matter. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

I have faith in the platinum dunes guys...afterall they gave us one of the best remakes out there with the Chainsaw remake and I even really liked the 'beginning' I mean yeah they look like MTV music videos but still good films I think. I think this thing with how the kids look is getting kind of old...I mean, back in the 80's kids dressed a little funny and had big hair with 50 pounds of hair spray and mullets. That was how kids looked back THEN. That's over with now. I agree though they could tone it down a bit with the Abercombie and Fitch models and just use more down to earth looking kids....but it probably won't happen. I like this Haley guy for Freddy, while he has an entirely different look than Englund he also has a VERY distinct looking face that I think will work. Also Clancy Brown is always a plus. "DREW BUDDY....LOST MY KEYS..."
