Heath Ledger has been overly played out since his death. It's time for Jason to show the Joker who is boss.

I voted for him...Heath got the oscar among ohter things...it'd be really cool to see Derek snag something...he did a great job, regardless of how some think the movie turned out

Derek should be honored that he's nominated, he played a great Jason for sure. Don't remember seeing Tyler nominated for Myers.

The obvious vote would be to Heath Ledger... Who actually ACTED, and was on screen for more than 15 minutes of the film he was in... Yes yes, we know... "Playing Jason is still ACTING!" but come on, clearly the Joker is much more emotional and important of a character, and does more than butcher kids with special effects.I know people are starting to say he's being overdone, and though that may be true, his acting was fantastic, reguardless the reputation the film's gotten.Though it IS nice to see Jason up there! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />

He's easilly the best Jason since Brooker and White IMO, and I would have no problem with him winning. I just find it rude, on any celebrity's behalf, to have someone claiming their death is overated or their last performance was only amped because of their death. It's just down right disrespectful.

If so... you make me sick.Playing Jason requires you to leave your brain at the door. No facial acting required. No lines to speak. Just running at people and killing them. Derek played a great Jason but Jason requires very little true artistic talent. Sure, effort goes into the way you move your body and such, but that's it. Ledger's Joker isn't overhyped. He was simply one of the best movie villians to ever grace the silver screen. The death of the actor is a tragic loss. Guaranteed that if Derek died... he still wouldn't be highly recognized for his performance. After all... it IS Jason.
