http://www.hollyscoop.com/movies/david-arq...emake_1533.aspxCourteney Cox and David Arquette in Talks for Scream remake You know the film industry has run out of ideas when they’re remaking movies that were made in the 90s! Guess all the 80s flicks have already been taken. The next film to get a reboot is the Scream franchise. Writer-director Kevin Williamson is currently working on the new trilogy, and apparently he wants a couple of the original characters back. Sorry Neve Campbell, he doesn’t mean you. But according to EW, Williamson has approached Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette. No deals have been signed yet, and both sides are reportedly trying to work around Courteney’s new shooting schedule for her show Cougar Town. What do you think of this remake happening so soon after the original?

Oh, I thought I read somewhere he was doing a trilogy of SEQUELS, not a remake? This is quite odd.

yeah i heard that the new trilogy was going to be seprate from the originals like the Star Wars movies in a way . but i'm glad that Neve isn't coming back as i didn't care for her after the first one . but none will ever top the first movie as it's the best horror movie within recent years imo mike,

I say remake everything, remake remakes of remakes- I don't give a dang. In the end it's just another movie, just another good/bad/crappy/shiddy/great movie.

I think they should remake the newest Friday the 13th....it's a few months old now and in desperate need of being updated. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" />

This will not be a remake, it'll be a reboot. Big difference.
