Hey, these are a couple of faces i sculpted, fired and glazed for a nature studies series last semester in ceramics. I intended for the faces to each have their own unique deformity, and to have the finish be the thing that tied them together.. I was sort of trying to go after the appearance of bone ....as the project grew i sort of saw the face in the center as being wise and the two on the outsides being young or representative of youth. notice the face on the very right has a deer tooth in the corner of its mouth. All three faces have fake eyelashes applied for effect. I gave this to my mother for her most recent birthday and she loved it because she needed something green to match the paint in her living room ha! The board the faces are applied to is the board i initially sculpted the faces on ...Sorry about the picture quality, ceramic work glaze especially doesn't seem to picture too well, the colours are much more vibrant in person.Take care[attachment=30969
