JGTH would be the worst, in my opinion.Liked Jason's looks, but hated the story... the "legend of Jason" thing.. possessions, magical daggers, etc was the same kinda' crap that caused me to bail on Nightmare on Elm Street sequels after awhile. Introducing it mid-series like that was VERY tactlessly handled too.. I almost didn't go see the next one, because I thought it would continue on with the same nonsense.

"Only a Voorhees can kill a Voorhees" magic daggers, Jason shaving, talking etc....He look was okay in JGTH I suppose, would of made since being all bubblely and bloated after a toxic waste bath, but I'm not even sure the writers had it in mind to use the previous couple of entries as continuity. For all of the sequels, they did a very good job starting off where the previous one left off.... get to see how Jason comes back to life and all. JGTH was just a big ball of silliness. C. Duke with breaking that dudes fingers in return for information. Jason X is quite easy to pick on as well. But, I'm still sticking with part 9.

I think 5 is great too- great 80's slasher film. It's a lot better than 7, and still better than 6 as far as I am concerned.
