" Public Enemies " - John Dillinger Film

Hey....just got back from seeing "Public Enemies," the latest Johnny Depp film about infamous bank robber John Dillinger. It was pretty cool. Something makes me think that there's a population on this board that would dig this film?I'm a historian that hails from the Midwest, so perhaps I have a more vested interest in Dillinger than others, but I imagine his story will still grab anybody who loves a good heist film, or even a love story.Anyone else see it?<img src=\"http://www.shockya.com/news/wp-content/uploads/public_enemies_poster.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

This was a great flick! The shoot outs were outstanding as well. Wouldn't expect anything less from a film directed by Michael Mann.

Terrible movie. First time I've walked out on a movie since I can remember. I know a very good bit about Dillinger so I know the story but this movie had no character development. I found myself not caring what happened to either of the main characters. It took well over an hour of the film before I knew who any of the supporting characters were as it wasn't made terribly clear early on. I expected a lot more out of Michael Mann.The only positive things I can say about this movie is that the acting by Bale and Depp was good and that the movie had a very good 30's era feel to it. Other than that, I have nothing nice to say about it.

i saw Ice Age 3-D instead but do still plan on seeing this if the reviews on here are good enough . but prob. the next movie i'll end up seeing is that Denzel and Travolta movie . i like just about all of Depps movies but the only let down for me is that Bale is in it as i don't care for anything he has done other than American Psychomike,

Great acting by the actors, but the movie just had too much without enough of an explanation through whatever medium of who is who... plus I feel the shaky-cam was annoying.the ending was both great and weak at the same time, for some reason.
