If my theory is correct, the origins of the iconic "Ki ki ki ma ma ma" sounds played often in each installment from the Friday the 13th series actually originates from heavy metal band <b>BLACK SABBATH</b>!Anyone ever hear the song "Children of the Grave" off their 1971 album Master of Reality? That's right, '71, nine years before Friday the 13th (1980) even entered production. This song, again, debuting in 1971, begins with a moderate paced metal riff, and ends with a shock.4:30 begins the creepy ending of the song using feedback from the guitar and other noises. At 4:50, a voice whispers "children of the grave" with a <b>very</b> familiar overlapping sound. "Ch ch ch ah ah ah," the first syllables of the words "children" and "of" echoed, just as the common idea using "kill" and "mom."Listen for yourself.<a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=236Lquwq22A\" target=\"_blank\">Black Sabbath - "Children of the Grave"</a><b>Now of course, this is all in good fun.</b> I am not actually accusing Manfredini of stealing from Black Sabbath, it was just a funny observation. This is in now way meant to be taken serious.Joe

Yup. Thats what i always thought too. Manfreddini must have been a big Sabbath fan. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> I like to think of it as a wink to the band, and not a rip off hehe.

Yeah very similar. whether he heard it subconsiously who knows. If you want to talk about ripoffs of bands, go to you tube and play Santa Monica from Everclear. the beginning guitar riff is straight up stolen from the Vandals song Pat Brown. Note for note. It is just slowed down. How they never got in trouble I don't know. go play them both, would love to hear what you all think.the drums from Metallica's "One" also sounds familiar. Gonna research that one some more......

OK Found it.Dark Angel(1985). These drums sound eerily familiar to the drums in Metallica's "One". do I think Lars stole it? Nope! but I bet he heard it before and it was in his subcontious laying dormant for years.<a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxIVYzovNxI\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxIVYzovNxI</a>

these days, it's easy to steal someone else's musical work. change it up a TAD and all of a sudden, it's yours. ask vanilla ice. his only hit was stolen directly from queen's "pressure" featuring david bowie. he fully admited that all he did was add one hit-hat note, and walah. really pisses me off...and I can't even count how many rap songs these days feature classic rock riffs. most of them, altered, of course to avoid royalty costs.

Queen sued and won though. Good for them!pat

Guys, I didn't mean it was ripped off from it, I meant it may have been a huge inspiration. It sounds EXACTLY like it, there's no doubting that.
