It's with mixed emotions that I reveal a teaser pic of what has been my primary focus for nearly a year now -- From the first time I saw Wes Craven's New Nightmare, I knew I had to have that glove someday. And for nearly 15 years, there wasn't a suitable replica - either for display or wear. Yes, Anders has a very nice version, but I wanted something as close to the real thing as it gets. I was only recently made aware of the incredible "real deal" offering coming soon from FrightStuff... which is extremely exciting, but at the same time heartbreaking because of all the research and development, project management stresses, and financial burden I've gone through over the last year to bring a worthy and functional replica to the collectors - only to know the real thing is now within reach, and likely much less expensive than the funds required to make this project a reality. Some of you on this board I have spoken to about this through PM, and I appreciate everyone keeping it a secret up until now. It was originally supposed to be unveiled for the film's 15th Anniversary, but as sometimes happen, projects take longer than anticipated. To make this dream of mine happen, I partnered with a very talented sculptor with a great mind for special effects and the "how-to" on some of these more complex pieces. It wasn't always easy, and it's certainly been an adventure, but I am extremely pleased with this first finished prototype! The base glove is completely silicone, with all the tendons and meaty details seen on the original. Being silicone, it's very flexible and stretchy and can fit a variety of hands. The core is a "medium" sized hand, but can fit pretty much any hand size due to the flex. Each bone has been carefully crafted and fully sculpted in all directions so no matter what angle or position you look at it from, it looks great. The exoskeleton is fully articulated, and totally flexible in any hand position. I will be creating a video or two in the near future to demonstrate this, but will also be releasing additional photos and "making-of" in progress pics over the next week.Lastly, the current blades are metallic resin for the prototype, but will eventually be mirrored steel blades. We have created a unique attachment method to keep the blades in line and secured, without causing undue sagging or difficult adjustments while wearing - due to the soft nature of the silicone skin.I hope you enjoy this first picture, and there's much more to come very soon! A custom display base is also in the works and I will be doing some professional studio photos in the near future. Again, I'd like to thank my partner on this project for all his hard work the last few months. On to the photo!<img src=\"http://www.kreatorsworld.com/images/wcnn02.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
