I knew Iron Man would kick freddy in the balls... They misplace the date of NOES in my opinion... I wouldn't release a movie one week before Iran Man for sure. Anyways, I think it gross enough money to make a sequel. I'm sure they knew that Iron Man would hurt them.

Shouldn't have any impact on a Nightmare sequel. Iron Man was like the kick off to the summer blockbuster season and was expect to make a ton... (133 million dollar opening weekend)Freddy's already profitable, right? By like 10 million?

Considering NOES made it's budget back on opening weekend plus the money it'll make on DVD and Blu-Ray sales, I highly doubt it'll have an impact on the sequel.

I'm sure it would have gross way more if they released the flick like 2-3 weeks earlier... Bad timing I guess.

The problem is, Friday the 13th did better at the box office and the sequel to it has been canned, at least for the foreseeable future. That is the concern I have for the Nightmare remake...
