Now with Hurricane season, it could potentially get REALLY bad!Oh, and there is now talk of Toxic rain. The chemical dispersants used to break up the oil, Could evaporate and form rain clouds, producing Toxic rain half way up America!

"Drill baby drill!" haha. Yeah we're going to see repercussions from this for years, maybe decades to come. Go ahead and boycott BP (I don't often buy their gas anyway) but while you do that you may as well boycott every other oil company. It was a combination of selfish stupidity and bad luck that caused this disaster for BP, but I'm sure it could have easily been any other oil company. Its the corporate culture that is sick, not any particular business entity.And yes, I think this is Obama's Katrina, mostly because of his sluggish response. Once the leak happened, it was too late to do anything anyway, I mean god they were shooting golf balls into the thing at one point. The shocking lack of foresight is the real problem, and it seems people never learn. Why weren't they prepared for what you think would have been an obvious potential disaster? They just didn't care, no one thinks bad things will happen to them.

I hope that the cleanup and compensation will bankrupt them. They should be completely liable for cleanup and lost wages for everyone effected.Sometimes when I see the photos of the disaster I want to go and break the windows out of the local BPs.

BP was already the #1 violator of environmental regulations even before this happened. They've entered guilty pleas in numerous felony cases and people have died from other explosions on BP facilities. Corner cutting was blamed there as well.They have announced that they are going ahead with 10 billion dollars in executive bonus. These guys have zero shame.I've heard that they could plant explosives (atomic or others) and seal the well by collapsing all the rock, but that would make the well undrillable in the future, and they don't want to lose any potential profits. Has anyone else heard about this?Please keep in mind the filling stations are all franchised, and BP as a company has less and less financial stake in the corner gas station.I'm in no way questioning the need for a boycott of all things BP, but it would suck to be an owner of one of those joints now.FYI: BP makes Castrol Oil, so be sure to avoid that brand.

I also read that the cap that they are libel for is 75 million.....uh how can you cap something that you have no idea what it will cost?
