Just finished this part 3/4 F13th style axe at the request of a customer who may buy it, tunred out awesome and my best to date. I tried to replicate the look in part 3 at the end with the metal showing through and brownish dark dirty weathering. I made the handle slightly lighter in colr to provide some contrast and show the blade's weathering more. This is a dry look and not sealed but can be sealed in matte finish also. Looks real in broad daylight! Very heavyduty cardboard. I want to keep it lol. I might do a double-bladed from part 4 next. I sell the blades only as well as the complete axe. Here are some pics.

Thanks man! Yeah it turned out a lot better than I expected, this was just a prototype test for fun. I was going for the aged steel look and it came out a lot better than I thought. My Mom thought it was real and could not believe it was cardboard lol. It looks more real in person. I am still perfecting them and getting them dialed, they should only get better! I am gonna do a 26 inch one next to sell, and double blade 36 inch. Can't wait to do a part 3 and 4 costume to match! Wink

Is yours polyfoam? golly gee willikers man that head is huge! Kinda like the Madman display one I made. I also want to do a bloody one and other variations, and some with rust. I always wanted a polyfoam one but figured why pay $80 or whatever when I can achieve the same result for a lot less. Here is a video, can't wait to get an actual HD camcorder soon instead of using my photo camera video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr18sOA486w

That is incredible...I couldn't even understand how it would be cardboard construction until I watched your video. It really does look authentic and VERY old!

Fantastic job, dude. It's stuff like this that makes me wish I had the body type needed to costume as Jason.

    Thanks for sharing,

Thanks Justin meand a lot coming from you. Smile Yeah everyone around here keeps touching it in disbelief, so do I lol.

Did a 26 inch one up to sell now on eBay, selling just the head or complete. This one is the same color head but darker handle, and made for 26 inch handle, although both fit both handle types I noticed. It was pretty dark out so made it look a little darker too.
