Is it me, or does it seem like this forum doesn't have as much traffic as it used to? I mean, I have no statistical research to back this up and I'm sure one of the mods can quickly refute my observation with cold, hard numbers, but it seemed like back in the day (or at least only a year or so ago) that I'd log in during the night hours of 8pm-midnight and there'd be at least 15-20 different members logged in and posting. Now I look at the member online list and only see one or two. Not to mention, forum posts that we're made back then were often off of the main page within a couple hours in place of new threads...now forum topics seem to stick around on the front page for a couple days.

Does it seem this way to anyone else, or am I just imagining it? This is the only forum/board that I visit, so perhaps my perception is biased, but I wanted to see if anyone else (or at least anyone who's been a member for at least 2-3 years) felt this way.

Core members that I have seen on here for years are still posting, so that's a good thing!

I've been a member since July 09, but the traffic here has DEFINITELY dropped off, at least as far as posts. Horror collectors seem to have gone over to mm.net to talk about scream masks and "whitey" stuff so its is still quite lively over there, and probably the most active of the 4 or 5 forums I browse.

Yes, I've noticed the decrease in traffic, but to be completely honest, I don't mind it. Less drama, less immature posters. It reminds me of how NIGHTOWL was WAY back when. As of lately, most of the activity revolves around older NIGHTOWL members/supporters.

I look at it as an upgrade

I've been a member here for about 5 years... I have noticed the drop off recently as well.
There used to be quite a few more "Mask score" threads in years past. Evilsmellyclown's good for
posting new goodies on a fairly regular basis though.

Seems to have slowed down a bit but I will always be here. This was the first forum I ever joined and is my favorite of them all. I see all my buds are still posting so I am comfortable with it. No big deal, I have seen it drop off and come right back. Seems to be some kind of pattern. You"ll see brother.

    NIGHTOWL Lifer ESC.

Thanks for the thumbs up DT. all my scores will always be posted first right here on NIGHTOWL.

Your right puck, I have not been here super long, but I have noticed the same thing.

well...to be quite honest, think about all the random threads and who was posting them? The majority of those threads were started by people who are no longer members here for various and some obvious reasons. That has cut back alot on the traffic in respect to new threads and whatnot. The other major things are the time of year and let's face it...the economy. Like many who have already posted in this thread, it does remind me of how it used to be...which is fine by me....

    take care,
    Tommy

I personally like it better the way it is . If people wanna leave because they can't say a certain name or start topics about a certain horror charater , then be gone with them . There's more masks out there than just " him " . I don't need to waste my time with people that do nothing but complain so honestly , Thank God they're gone from here . It just makes everyone bitter ...

If there was a like button as there is on facebook. This whole thread would be "liked"
