Did the shooter really do this because of Pantera\'s break-up? If so, that\'s the stupidest f#cking thing I ever heard, DBD and Vinnie wanted Pantera back together. If that was his motivation Phil Anselmo should have been the one he went after.

Yall should be in the DFW area right now, its Panteras home here and everyone has known or met some of the members, its the only thing they are talking about on the radio........it sucks. Its also really strange to hear a news person say "Dimebag" on the news with a straight face. Its a sad day... Sad

i live in the DFW area and i go to the Guitar center in Arlington all the time. I met Dime in that store a few yrs ago and he was a great guy. he was very down to earth and very approachable. i was wrong about Vinnie, he is fine....well as good as he can be after seeing his brother get killed. Dime was in my opinion the greatest guitarist of all time. i really do hope that the S.O.B. that shot him took a long time to die and i hope that he suffered. Dime will always be remembered as a legend of heavy metal. If anybody here is from the DFW area there will be a huge get together tonight at the club house in rememberance of Darrell. Rest in Peace D.B.D

    www.pantera.com

Why does it say Vinnie Paul was also shot, but in their report it says they can\'t release the other band members name?

Dime Bag was a great guy. Met him on many a time from the guitar shop I work at, to guitar shows. Also was good friends with my boss who was the former president of veralight lighting which did a good amount of there tours. Very down to earth dood, who was what guitar player should be...cool, a good picker, and no sense of fashion. B) He remembered his roots all through his show so I think he died with no regrets and peace and his musical flame won\'t ever go out. as for the dood who killed him, the flame aint going out anytime soon where he is either. RIP brotha.
