Okay, just got back from the midnight premiere of Scream 4. It was great to see Ghostface back on screen, the whole movie just fits right in with the rest of the series. Not a "good movie" but a great addition to the franchise, imo beating out its prior sequels. I'm really only a "fan" of the first one, but this was a terrific and fun viewing and I'd recommend going in open minded ready to have a fun time with some great kills and laughs. Craven really incorporates some enjoyable tributes and continues preaching his politics about modern horror, which I really enjoyed.

Ok just got home and my personal opinion is that it was just too humorous for my taste . Kinda like how you went from Child's Play to Bride OF Chuckie  . Out of a 1-10 scale , i'd rate this about a 6 . Most things were predictable and I just couldn't stand the crowd that was in the theatre as they kept talking and yelling out stupid crap like I heard in FvsJ . That's the one thing I HATE about todays horror is that it isn't horror anymore . Did you seriously laugh your @$$ off while watching the original Halloween or TCM movies ? I think that for the long 10 year wait , we could've gotten something a little better

Freakin loved it. Can't say much else. True to the originals but with a bit more gore. Can't ask for much more. My only beef was Anthony Anderson's cheesy one liner, but other than that, really dug it. And you gotta love how Wes dogs other horror movies through dialog. Great little extras.

    PS, Hayden Panettiere.

Never cared for the previous three films, but might check this one out since I heard it makes fun of that remake trend I hate so much.

yea dude, it really milks the remake ridiculousness. if you aren't a fan of remakes, you'd like this one..

I think 95% of horror fans will enjoy this movie as long as they don't take it too seriously. It's absolutely hilarious. I was almost kicked out of the theater cuz I couldn't stop laughing during the list of remakes scene, and when Neve Campbell says that line at the end I almost stood up to applaud, but I'm not that cheesy.

I always hated the Scream movies, I even called them the downfall of the horror genre. And then a character in the movie actually made fun of people like me--with my opinion. Lol...I mean, that's just awesome. Craven and Williamson are witty as hell and think from every angle. I'm a born-again Scream enthusiast and will go back to watch parts 1-3, though I've watched them all in theaters.

The movie is in no way scary...just a couple of boo scares. But it is gory. I thought the ending was really good, classic Scream ending, and maybe even a little bit funner. Overall, I definitely think it was worth coming out of my cave to go see it.

I just got home from this film and LOVE IT!! It tries to stay far removed from the horror of today, which is such a refreshing feeling. I went in expecting some humor and feel that I got it in all the appropriate places...The dialogue was just fantastic. Not sure what else I can say without giving it all away, though.

    Cheers,

    Ryan
