Damn nice collection! A GF Trooper lid is a fine piece too! So you would recommend Rubies masks for conversions?
I have a Vader underway right now but wanted to add a TIE helmet and maybe a Fett too.

Thanks guys.

Colin I\'m so jealous of you for still having your collection, must have brought back alot of great childhood memories wiping the dust off all the boxes. I so wish I still had all my figures and ships but I sold them years ago Sad I\'m with you on the original films too. As good as the recent 3 we\'re the original trilogy are true classics that will never be beaten.

And TDandD as far as the Tie goes yes I\'d recommend it. It\'s a good sturdy piece thats easy to drill and shape and takes paint very well. I\'ve not seen either of the Fett\'s in person but I do want a Jango for the collection so may give the Rubies a go and give it a re-paint etc. The Vader in the group shot is one of their deluxe jobbies but I\'ve not got round to doing any work on it yet.

Jesus Andy, these are comming out just incredable, one after another! Beautiful work on the ATAT, I\'ve only seen a handful or so of those, and that\'s in the top couple for sure. Outstanding stuff!! And the GF stunt bucket, well, sent ya a PM on it
TallDark, some of the Rubies helmets work good for mods, Tie and Vader for sure, I\'ve seen a few decent Scouts too. As for Fett, they never look right, like dressing up a pig kinda. As good a paintjob as you put on it, it\'s still completely wrong shape, size and look. If you\'re serious about a Fett, do yourself a big favour and get a fiberglass kit based off the Mystery Helmet, or the Hybred, which is what I have.

Cheers Trav, praise indeed from you mate

Have you seen any of the Rubies Jango\'s up close or after a make-over? Just wondering how they\'d work out. Know the Fett\'s shape is a bit off but I\'m hoping the flare-less Jango might be ok?

Yeah I tried to convert a 97 DP Fett before and it just didn\'t work. Reminded me of the old saying "You can\'t polish a turd".. Tongue I keep eyeing the Mystery helmets on eBay but never buy one for some reason.
My Vader is almost done but I haven\'t had time to finish it. Andy, based on your work on the AT and TIE helmets, your Vader is gonna turn out great! There are some nice tusks on eBay(tk510 I think..) and Lenseman lenses are great for the job. I\'ll try to get a pic of my "in progress" up for ya.

I\'d love to see a better shot of your plaques too!

Love to see your Vader when your done with it, or sooner if your offering  Hopefully it\'l inspire me to get cracking with mine rather than take on new projects Tongue

The plaques are 3mm (about 1/8th  ) acrylic meant for shop displays, price tags etc that I get from a company here in the UK, 3D Displays. They work great and I just make a simple insert on the comp and slip it in. You can see it pretty well in this shot of my Fett...

Cheers guys
