Fiberglass Vs Abs

if someone could actually lay fiberglass right, it would be great. like how a boat or hockey mask (nhl kind) has laid fiberglass. however, way too many people mistake fiberglass for pure resin. resin will crack if dropped. a true fiberglass mask won\'t. you never saw a goalie in hockey take a shot to the face and have his mask shattered.. that would defeat the purpose of the mask...  abs is just very durable and strong. plus, the mask can be detailed enough to where it won\'t look like a piece of plastic.

Older NHL hockey masks were made of fibergalls and they didn\'t break, so I\'m guessing that some mask makers are doing it wrong. If I was rich, I\'d make em out of injection molded polycarbonate. I think thats what newer street hockey masks and football helmets are made of.
