Part 3 Mask

Well, here it is folks. If there was ever any doubt about whether the original part 3 mask was based on the Jacques Plante Fibrosport mask......you can toss it out the window. Pretty pricey, I would LOVE to own this mask.....and i really hope one of you winds up with it. Question for those that know. Was the P3 a sculpture or do you think a JP was used as a buck and the P3 was formed over it?

The Jacques Plante Fibrosport mask was just used for reference. There\'s a lot thats off about the screen used mask, compared to the FS one. It also explains why holes and overall shape are not symmetrical. Friday the 13th sucks anyway. B)

Any proof that it was in fact a sculpture? I have seen other JP/FS hockey masks with different hole patterns, meaning, the same just a little different.
Just trying to figure it out....

There was never a doubt that the a fibro-sport was used for reference, though that auction is VERY cool. And Mark, Martin Becker sculpted the mask while using THAT style fibro-sport. There are tons of different style fibro-sports, but if memory serves that was the only style for the Jacques Plante. The price is ridiculous though, one sold on ebay 6 months ago for 91 bucks.
