After 30 years of watching horror films, I think of these five cinematic moments as the worst, to destroy an already-made franchise. Although most of the series "jumped the proverbial shark" well before these moments occurred...I think these moments really showed us how silly we were for continuing to pay good money for this stuff.

Which do you think is the worst by far? Or feel free to add your own!

I always hated CD the cenobite. Everytime I watch that movie I have to fight the urge to hunt down director Anthony Hickox and pistol whipping him.

I would like to add Child\'s Play 3 to the list. How would the rubber/plastic at the Good Guy plant be posessed?

In the 2003 TCM, I guess I\'m referring to the point that, IMO, the greatest thing about Leatherf*ce for nearly 30 years, unlike Jas*n and Michael, is that Bubba never took his mask off. The scariest thing , IMO, about him was the mystery of what was behind the mask. Was it a scary monster? A normal guy? (which would be scarier..) Or what?

Director Marcus Nispel\'s decision to go with the script that allowed Bubba\'s background be a little opened up, and thus allow Bryniarski to demask - is, IMO, one of the worst decisions to destroy the TCM franchise. Sure, many more TCM fans are developing with the 2003 movie and now the 2006 film, but I think opening up Bubba\'s background is as stupid as making a Hannibal Lecter prequel. Oh yea....they\'re doing that too.

Halloween 6? I guess I was just taking a stab at the installment altogether. The original and pt 2 were obviously the best, so anything after that could have been fair game.

I could have said Halloween 3, but I figured that might be too easy.

ah...well I get ya.....I agree, they should have kept his mask on, I also thought it was kinda gay but now its open to more story line. (which they are doing with the prequel)

as for Halloween 6....its bascically my favorite Halloween movie....other then 2....so I dunno.....it did take a leap from 1-4, but I loved it regardless

Sorry Puck. Halloween 6 was just the victim of my my desire to post this poll too quickly without giving the Halloween catalog too much of a glance over. The only other one I could think of was part 3, but I thought that was too easy. I wanted an entry that would rival the other 4 options.

Is there a better time that Halloween "jumped the shark" perhaps?
