Hello! <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> As the title reads, do you believe that the age old saying "what goes around comes around" really happens in life? For example, if you lend a hand to an absolute stranger today and find $10 on the ground tomorrow, do you consider the $10 a result of your act of kindness from the day before? If so, how about if you found the $10 a week or month later...would it still be related to that kind act from the week or month prior? Is there a time limit to one good or bad event in your life relating back to a previous good or bad deed you may have done? What about if you did something "bad" one day and got a flat tire the next...was it because "what goes around comes around" or are do you consider them two completely unrelated events?I'm just curious to find out how many of you believe that "good" deeds will bring you good tidings, while "bad" deeds will bring you misfortune sooner or later. I personally have found that in my own life, doing good deeds doesn't cause any positive things to happen to me. However, I will continue to do as many good deeds as I can because it makes me feel good to do so...I don't expect great things in return, but it sure would be nice.Feel free to simply say yes/no or to post your own feelings on the issue...thanks!~Mikey

I dont really believe in that saying. You can be a "bad" person or do "bad" things all ur life and still have good luck. Or you could be what a lot of society says a "church type person" and be "good" from it all ur life, and still have terrible luck. I just think life is lived one day at a time, some are good for some reasons, some are bad for ot hers. just my opinion <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />

I can think of specific(not naming names) people that are rich and/or famous that are terrible people. Their lives are probably pretty good so I guess I really don\'t believe in that notion.

I've been kind of torn on this subject for quite some time. It seems to me that good people who attend church seem to get so many medical problem among other things opposed to people who aren't religious who really don't have any problems. It also seems that it's always the good people who die young and the arseholes who live forever. I've seen good and bad karma take it's toll, but it still seems that being a jerk gets you further in life for some reason.

Thanks for the replies!Yeah, but don't good things, as well as bad, eventually happen to everyone? I really don't believe in a "balance" that controls the universe. I was also torn on this subject for a while. I have seen MANY bad people have good things happen to them (and vice versa) repeatedly and it drives me insane! I wish it was true, but unfortunately I just don't believe in it because of my own personal experiences and from what I have seen time and time again. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

I agree with Larry....shit happens....to everyone...and to be honest, I really think shit happens to better people, because in the end, all of that shit you went through will clear up and good things are bound to happen
