Maybe it's my ripe age at 30, but I'm getting pretty sick of attending horror films on opening nights and having f'n kids act like jackasses throughout the entire film.I live in a small U.S. city and the Rob Zombie's Halloween theater tonight (Midnight showing, no less) was jampacked full of unmonitored teenagers. This, of course, happened regardless of the countless police officers in the crowd. There were multiple gang fights which led the Gang Task Force to be led in, actual blood splattered on the mall floor, numerous arrests, and countless hoodlums running in and out of my theater as the movie played.I virtually paid attention to none of the film, and the parts that I was trying to pay attention to, I kept hearing the inconsiderate and mouthy teenage girl behind me yelling, "F'n fat @ss b*tch gonna get her @ss killed ,m....f....r!" Every other word was an expletive. And to top it off, I thought it was just plain rude when she laughed boisterously aloud when someone on screen is killed. I don't think that was the writer nor director's intentionsfor the scene. I'm sorry to complain, but I need to vent.Does anyone share my sentiment? Does anyone else have this problem with rowdy gangs/kids in their theater? Or am I just too old to be watching horror films? <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/down.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"down.gif\" />

No gangs in my city or violence of that scale, but i've experianced those stupid kids that act like they've just been let off their leashes for the first time. Always talking on their cell or blabbering with their friends. Some jerk next to me was farting loudly, cussing, and running up and down the isle and falling over for laughs. About the laughing at death, that shows you what TV and the internet have done to kids. Shows make injury funny, and death is only a SMALL step away to them. I'm not saying TV is the cause, but i think being shown constant violence at a young age, and glamorizing it, really can desensitize a mind, in a more extreme example the children of war. I'm 18 myself and I can't help but wonder why someone would pay 8 or 10 dollars to sit in a dark room and do what you could normally do in a dark alley way for FREE without disrupting anyone. But maybe it is age, every one of my peers and family members say I'm a 45 year old in an 18 year old kid's body. Maybe we are too old for these films in public, or rather too mature for them. At least you're physically old enough to yell "Damned Kids!"

I'm planning to see it on October 30th,and if anyone has the nerve to talk on their phone,I will do something about it.I payed money to see a movie in peace and quiet, and I plan on getting my money's worth.I hate when people have no respect for this kind of shit.Except that one time when I went to see Jurassic Park 3,and there were like 4 Indians in full traditional Indian gear behind me,and everytime something exciting happened they yelled AIYAIYAIYAIII!!!Those were good times.
I have a ritual called \\\"terminator\\\". I crouch in the shower in the \\\"naked terminator\\\" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

<!--quoteo<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE</div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecI\'m planning to see it on October 30th<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndI doubt it will stay in theaters that long...I give it 4-5 weeks before it\'s gone. I guess it might be in the dollar theaters by then, though. I just wish they\'d release these Halloweens closer to Hallowen. I mean, I saw part 4 in the theaters on October 30th...that makes a little more sense than Labor Day weeekend. Then a again, the last one ws released in July...I can\'t stand crowds at films. Nothing annoys me more than asshole teenagers (and adults) talking, getting up and milling around the theater, or the worst - talking on their goddamn cell phones. Why would you spend that kind of money to sit in a room and fiddle with your phone? No attention span...and no respect for others. I wish theaters would start painting their walls with that stuff that blocks signals...that would put the kibash on it. I just want to sit and enjoy the film I paid to see...is that so wrong? Two words: home theater. I\'d almost rather sit in my 5.1 surround sound mini-theater I have set up in my home office than venture out to the movies anymore....it\'s just sad.Ok, I\'ll end my rant here.

That is the exact f'n reason I don't go to the movies anymore...period. Obnoxious assholes and 20 minutes of commercials....forget it. Plus every damned movie shows up on DVD 2 months later with unrated versions. I wait two months and buy the gorier versions for less than the cost of two tickets................Larry

all of these things are the main reason as to why i don't even bother to go to the theaters anymore. I went and saw Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell on opening night and i couldnt pay any attention to the movies at all. Since then, i will not go on opening night at all. If i do go see a movie, i will go during the week if at all possible...and always during the matinee...Tommy
