What Kinda Pants?

What kinda pants is everyone using for their VS costumes? I\'m thinking about gettin an old pair of black work pants but, some guys are using sweat paints?

Only use sweatpants if you are wearing your costume while you are working the stairmaster :blink:
I would go with a black pair of dickies workpants, buy some coarse sandpaper and sand the shit out of them and then soak them for no more than 10 minutes in a mix of luke warm water, brown clothes dye and bleach. Do not soak them any longer than this or they will turn orange! Hope this helps, oh, did I mention no sweat pants?

i spend alotta time in the garage so i take one of my shitty old levi pants which were black at one time and are now almost all grey and already had lots of hole and cuts in them i did a bit more weathering and fraying and they look great, and also

if you watch the dock scene closely . it does indeed look like sweat pants. but i would opt for the work pant or black jeans.

You\'d think they\'re sweatpants at first glance, but then you see earlier in the movie that Jason withdraws his machete from his belt when he is lit on fire. Are there such things as sweatpants with belt loops and zippers? I just use sweats because that is what they look like, but I really don\'t know what kind of pants those are.

You are right about the Dock scene. It does look like they are sweatpants, but it seems like they only used this type of pants (whatever type that would be) during the stunt scenes on the dock, because afterwards and all throughout the movie they look like some sort of workpants.

I used a pair of Ambulance driver pants which are like black cargopants and took the pockets off and done the above described weathering to it. After I had sanded and weathered them they looked exactly like the ones in the movie due to the soft cotton material of the pants. Whatever pair you are going to get I would go for a softer fabric because it won\'t look too stiff, that\'s why I recommended Dickies, they are sturdy, yet very light. Other brands like Big Bill or something like that tend to be too rugged for costume use. Just my two cents.
