I hope this doesn't offend anyone because I've been guilty of it to, but anytime that I am I try my best to go back and correct the situation before a mod or someone has a chance to see it. Why is it that no one can seem to follow the only 1 bump per week rule? I only ask because it doesn't seem fair that a NEW classifed gets bumped to the second page within just a couple of hours due to people updating their classifiedss every day with redundant stuff like *going to ebay soon* or *new pics added* The topic thread itself can be updated saying that you've got new price. My favorite though is when someone is selling multiple items and instead of updating the topic, they post a new reply instantly shooting them back up to the head of the pack.I recently had 2 topics running with classifieds and took both of them down, 1 after only a day and the other after only 3 because they don't stay on the front page, while other people feel the need to note their price drops every single day, pushing a lot of us that are following the rules back down the line. I asked for mine to be deleted because it's just to frustrating to try to wait the week, (especially if you're trying to sell quick) while someone else is bumping every day under the guise of *just updating with new information* when they know they're bumping their topic.I'm sorry if I come off harsh in this, but I did the very same thing the other day on HMA on accident. I don't know what I was thinking but I bumped after a day when I should have updated my topic instead and I paid the price, topic was locked and rightfully so. It was actually locked before I had a chance to change it and apologized greatly for my mistake and all was well. After that I asked for my topic to be taken down because I decided to go to ebay with my stuff. I didn't make a new post about it though to bump my topic yet again. I guess my point is...we've all got stuff that we're trying to sell, but bumping this stuff every single day is getting old. There's people on here with items they've had for sale for months that are getting pushed aside so someone can post a topic and try to sell in 3 days with a simple reply to their post.I hope this doesn't offend anyone, I just wanted to voice my aggravation over the matter and get it out in the open. I love wheeling and dealing with you guys but c'mon, the bump every day crap has got to stop. I even saw one classified that was bumped twice in one day. TWICE.That being said , I hope you guys have a great week and I just wanted to get that off my chest. Thanks for giving me the chance to vent.-Joseph

I agree...we need to have a talk about the problem. That's the reason why we've deleted some threads that are "joke" threads. Because it takes up space for real for sale threads.Myself, Justin, Ben, and steve will be together at monster mania in March..I'll try and remember to bring it up

it's sad to see things like this happen . i have noticed it before but kept my mouth shut as i seem to start stuff from time to time lol . but this is one of the main reasons why i don't sell on forums and just do it the ol' egay way which is a pain but it gets the job done . i hope the problem gets fixed soon as there are some really nice ads and even if i don't have the money to buy any of them , i still like to "window shop"mike,

Gotta remember...NIGHTOWL is Justin's website that puts food on the table for his family. Yet, he's nice enough to let everyone sell not only collectibles they want to unload, but let "competitor" mask makers sell their products on the forum. So we're really not obligated to hold everyones hand on how the place is running..it's far too many posts for mods here to go thru and moderate though we try. So just be patient and things will be fixed to run smoother. 1 bump a week rule is going to have to be the way to go...Also, conversations being run in for sale threads and useless comments, tend to bump threads that block out other sale threads. The "wish I had the money for that!" post just gets very old.If you want to buy something, PM the seller...no need to post in the thread.

I made the mistake of bumping a for sale thread of mine several times within a couple of days about a year and a half ago just after I had registered and was called out on it. I apologized to that member and haven't done it since . . . I also stay away from making comments at all in for sale threads unless I intend to purchase. I'm not trying to act like a mod or anything by saying this but let's remember that the classifieds are a privilege and Justin could charge those of us that choose to sell here a listing fee just like pretty much anywhere else on the net but he's nice enough not to. Let's really try to work together here and abide by the rules. Okay, I'll step down off of my soap box now. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Derrick

I agree.. i have bumped before after a few days but if someone is looking for the itme they will find you. I have had post i made a month ago where people have wanted stuff on those posts. One thing that irritates me is when a guy a 4-5 things for sale and makes 5 individual posts. Just lump it all in one and reply to it if you cant fit all the pictures in one. Listing them one by one won't help the sale pass through any faster if you put Myers masks for sale, im pretty sure that thing will get hits in a matter of minutes. Just my Opinion.

I agree too. My thread was on the bottom of the second page after one day... It's not just bumping, some guys have 4-5 threads of there sales on the same page.

It's great that we have the freedom to sell stuff on this forum and I feel that people take advatage of it sometimes.I think it mat be a good idea to have 2 sales sections one for members buying and selling there collections and another section for mask makers to sell/advertise there products.I've sold a lot of my work through this site and I wouldn't objest to something like a $10 fee for something as long as it doesn't end up on page 3 within a day.Like what been said there's no need for people to make comments on your sale if they don't intent to put down the money to buy, could almost do with having each advertisment locked after posting so people have to pm the seller rather than get comments like I wish I had the money time and time again bumping the item.I think $10 for a week on page 1 would be a great way to operate this and I'm sure it will help Justin with his business costs.

I don't see it a problem posting everyday as long as somethings changing with product. If your reducing the price everyday by $50 I think it deserves to be bumped because I may not have bought it at full price, but when it gets slashed in half and I can afford it...I buy it!Whats wrong with that? I mean it doesn't take that long to go through the first few pages of the classifieds if people are making there posting topics clear... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banana.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"banana.gif\" />
