Hi all, I have a question about Jason masks for you. I am thinking of getting a VS style hoc mask and as a lot of you on here have loads of Jason hocs, could you tell me which material is better out of .90 ABS plastic or Fibreglass? Does it mean that plastic ones are bendable and fibreglass is rigid? I am looking for a mask that will be good for wearing and for display so if anyone can let me know of their opinions on which is best I would appreciate hearing them. Thanks. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

It really depends on what your looking for. I don't really care for fiberglass myself. It pulls the paint off latex masks really bad. ABS doesn't do that.
Good people I've done business with:

Not only is .90 indestructible, it bends- which helps you pull off different looks....I can make you a VS Hockey Mask...<img src=\"http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc110/Bellamys/The%20Bellamy%20collection/DSC09558.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Pm me if your interested!

its a preference thing...wait...am i getting a sense of deja vu? Seriously though, it's really up to you. Almost all Hockey Mask artists now use abs. I really cannot think of anybody off the top of my head anymore that deals with fiberglass. Fiberglass is nice, thick, and heavy. It feels like what a "hockey mask of a slasher" feels like in your mind. But....they can crack and break. I know this from experience....take care,Tommybtw...my personal preference is ABS for all the reasons others have stated above....and Bellamy, I see you have become the new Hockey Mask Whore....lol... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />

I think the VS. mask in the movie was made of fiberglass. It's really about preference as others said and I like both but I like ABS better and most Jason masks were made of plastic except for X and VS which are fiberglass so for those I would probably want fiberglass since it's what was used in the movie. The new Jason Hockey Mask is fiberglass too from what the article said.

Many people are mis informed about fiberglass. If it is actual fiberglass and is done right it is just as strong as abs and is harder and more rigid. when you make a mask out of just "resin", or just "fiberglass resin", without the actual fiberglass "fibers" thats when it is fragile/breakable. I don't think they would make shower stalls, boats, car body parts, ect... out of real fiberglass if it was fragile and cracked easily.

well. predator, i can only speak from my personal experiences. I had a fiberglass Hockey Mask...not resin...not fiberglass resin. It did indeed crack and break, It could have been an airbubble in the fiberglass. Regardless it did crack.take care,Tommy
