I remember reading that for part 2 they filmed many scenes in a set built in a highschool gym in North Carolina.Did they film the outside Cabin scenes in Michigan like the original Evil Dead?I also though I heard Bruce Campbell say that Cabin had burned down.

It was filmed in Morristown Tennessee about 2 1/2 hours from where I live. I don't remember if the cabin burned down or if it was destroyed, but it was done by hooligans, it wasn't an act of God or done by the owners or anything like that.

The fact of the matter is, the only stuff that was filmed in Michigan were the basement shots and some of the stop motion. The bulk of the movie was filmed on location in Morristown. The filming in Marshall Michigan was done after principal shooting had wrapped and was also done months later. I wanted to put that out there because the way the post came off was that the entire film was done in Michigan and that's not the case at all. Also, it was more like 10 to 15 percent was filmed in Michigan. I'm not trying to come off as being argumentative, it's just that I'm a HUGE fan of the Evil Dead movies, the original is one of the biggest influences I had when getting into horror movies.
