Will we ever see any of that footage surface again, or is it safe to lose hope now? Because I kinda already have.By the way, OH MY <b>GOD</b> THAT VIDEO IS FUNNY!!!!! The first part....Holy crap. I just love the way she looks down the road as if to see if there's anything else coming. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> Cheers,Ryan

wish i had all those boxes of that halloween footage . would love to check it out and i wonder if there was a way to transfer it over to something else that you can watch it on without possibly damaging the film . you said when you had it back in 06 , did you sell them or something ? mike,

The ball is out of my court. I’ve talked with Anchor Bay who insists that Malek has the final say on what they release on anything Halloween. Malek wants to pay me a ‘finders fee’ for the footage and I said absolutely no. His father was offered this footage several times back the early 90’s at little or no gain for what this footage sold for at a public auction. His father also had disagreements with the people who bought this footage and, so I’m told, threatened to sue. I’ve done everything possible to try to get this footage released. One possibility is contact the company that owns Starrs/Anchor Bay and show them what I have. They are investors in those companies. If I can show them this footage and show them Malek is blocking them from making money on a title they OWN the Distribution Rights to, then they can go to court and put an injunction on Malek for blocking investors in Starrs/Anchor Bay from making money. Kinda like Moustpha did to Carpenter when HE kept blocking another Halloween being made after Halloween III, Carpenter was a holder of the license along with Hill and Akkad. They bought Carpenter out and they went on to make Halloween 4.I have options out there. The footage is paid for and is kept at a secure film facility. A philosophy I believe in is this…”Never give up because that’s when the bastards win.”

Have any of those reels been looked at? Being stored in cardboard boxes for a few decades could have ruined the film in some areas. I have been collecting 35mm prints for a while now and cardboard boxes have so much acid and dont protect from humidity or light very well. I have a print of Maniac that fell victim to the acid in the paper in cardboard boxes. Fades out the colors and eventually can bond the film together. Not fun to deal with.Matt

Yes, the footage has been looked at. They are in sealed metal containers. The same containers they were placed in back in 1978. The place that is storing this footage has over 60 plus years of preservation and film storage and recommended that I leave everything the way it is.

Cool cool, hopefully they put filmguard on the film as they viewed it. THat stuff is a life saver. What film stock is it? Nitrate, acetate or polyester? Im assuming since it was filmed in the late 70's its acetate, but a few lucky one would put it on polyester.

Woah, I actually thought the link was a serious one.... LOL.So here I am watching the vid and Myers go by on a skateboard holding onto the rope thinking.... well hell, no wonder they deleted that stupid ass scene. Then it just got funnier from there and I realized it was a big joke. Nicely done though! God, I love the jump roping Mikey.
