I've been waiting on a mask for 7 months in counting, and all I keep getting are the old blah blah blah reasons for it not being done, or other masks from the same person not being shipped for such reasons. Would you guys want your money back, or what would you do? It's getting to the point of me not even wanting what I ordered in the first place.....not going to bash anyone on here, giving the benefit of the doubt. I'm just curious to what everyone else thinks?I'm just losing excitement for masks anymore, ordered from Dandrista and never got anything, ordered a hoodie from rotten cotton and havent got anything, and ordered 2 masks from the same person and STILL havent gotten anything. So been waiting 5 months, 7 months, 3 months, and 1 month now.

It does just get to the point where you're like f*ck it, you should just get your money back and be done with it, but then again that would probably just turn into a hassle. It's so hard to trust anyone online anymore, but if you love masks and props and all of that, don't let a few idiots ruin it for ya.

Im in the same situation. I figured sense its been so long I would ask for my money back, but then you only can expect them not to answer at all.If they re still in contact with you, I wouldn't worry to much. Its when they stop answering you is when you figure- You've been ripped offffffffffffuck

7 months is too long no matter who you order from. But if you ask for your cash back, you probably won't hear back from them again. I'm in the same boat as you with being screwed by mask makers. They need the cash faster then there ability to produce the masks.

I've been in constant contact with the person who owes me the 2 masks, so I'm not really worried about being screwed over. He's honest, and trustworthy and an all around good guy it's just life gets in the way and he's very very very busy doing other projects as well as mine. Maybe I'm just an impatient bastard I guess?

But if you were under the impression that the project would be finished within a short time, or the long time frame was revealed after you made payment, you have every right to be upset.Consistent contact from the seller does take some of the worry away.

I also think 7 month it`s a long waite, once i waited 1 year for a mask from a mask maker. He give me back$100 for the long waiting time. That was verry kind i think. But i am still waiting for my Part 6 mask from Cropsy at GOHS. ( order an paid $265 year 2002) Also waiting for my part 3 and part 4 gloves from Travis Cowsil at kruegear.com (order and paid $700 year 2005)

As a maker myself there are thing that come up that can slow things down, suppliers, full time work responsibilities but personally when i have these issues i always keep people posted on what's going on. Family issues always come first but the thought of having someone pay me and then not making an effort to get it done in a reasonable amount of time would make me lose sleep! There has to be trust for the customer to place an order and the maker has responsibilities to keep his customer updated, if problems arise and the maker lets you know then you have to stick with it and trust him, you could ask for refund and agree that you will pay the full amount on completion but you will find that the maker has spent the money on stock and supplies and the cost of living already, to refund you he will have to take another order that will be way over the estimated completion time and so the spiral down into melt down starts. If i were you i would ask the maker to be honest and give you a time of completion and if he has not done so by then insist on a refund.I know some people will disagree and i can almost hear the mods groaning when i say this but forum pressure does work, you don't have to name names or bash but just enquiring about a makers wait times can be enough to give them that wake up call but i add again that no-one should go on any forum bashing a maker or member at all, there are sensible ways of doing things and being clever about it.Just my opinions, good luck <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"B)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" />

I know how you feel. I'm in a similar situation right now. I sent in a mask for a repaint and rehair back in April and was told it would be done long before Halloween. The person I'm dealing with is one of the most well-respected artists in the business, and as of yet, I've received nothing back from him and he won't respond to my inquiries. During this time the person has announced three new projects and sent out countless other masks. At least the person you're dealing with has the common courtesy to send a reply, that's a good sign. I agree that you shouldn't publicly bash anyone, but this has happened to me twice in the past, and the ONLY thing that got the people to respond was posting an inquiry in a public forum. I just kept it civil, explained the situation, and asked if they could contact me or if anyone else had heard from them. In both instances, I had a reply within a few days, after weeks of ignored inquiries. When it comes right down to it, if you were given a time frame for completion which wasn't met, you are entitled to an HONEST explanation without having to resort to extreme measures to get it. Sorry to have been a bit long-winded here, but situations like this make my blood boil. Every time I read a post like this, and every time something similar happens to me, it takes another little chunk of enthusiasm away from this hobby. It's a real shame.
