Freddy's Glove In Evil Dead 2 ?

My wife and I just finished watching evil dead 2 and were quite surprised to see freddys glove in the movie. I would seriously be very surprised if anyone else had ever noticed this before. I dont know where I can go to find a screencap of this scene, but for those of you who own this movie I will explain which scene it is in. when the pages of the book get thrown in the basement and ash goes down to retrieve them. when he gets down there he sees another door and slowly approaches it. as you are looking straight ahead towards the door, look at the upper left side of the doorframe and wall and you will see plain as day freddy's glove hanging on the wall blades down. I noticed that before and to my understanding, it's the screen used glove from part 1, but I never seen the fim ED 2 but I heard about the glove.I'd also like to see a sceen cap of that sceen were you see Fred's glove.

Yep, I can remember freeze framing my Beta Tapes to see it.There is also a movie poster in the cabin.Pat

Watch the doco on the special edition dvd its shows the glove highlighted during a discussion with cast and crew. I think they also talk about the meaning of the ripped JAWS poster in the basement. Something about a "the hills have eyes" reference, I cant quite recall. Also, I think the glove makes an appearence in the "TOOL SHED" at some stage.

Oh and movies do things like this all of the time. Things like the Alien skull in Predator 2. C3po and R2D2 in the hieroglyphics in one of the Raiders films, and R2D2 on the Close Encounters space ship.Pat

Yeh, <u>A</u> glove is there. I heard it was the part 1 glove as well. That would of been about a year and a half-ish after it "disappeared". If it was the part 1 then it should of been returned to Wes. As I understand it he lent it out for the filming of Freddy's Revenge so, he was the owner.

I thought Sam Raimi put the Freddy Glove in Evil Dead 2 as a nod to Wes Craven just the like the Hills Haves Eyes poster in the first Evil Dead.He is a big Wes Craven fan.

He put it in because Craven used Evil Dead in the background on t.v. in one of his movies. Maybe one of the Nightmares, I can't recall.
