WELL, I finally saw it last night...I had given up on the SAW series since SAW 3, and the 4th was utterly terrible... BUT, I will say... I liked this new one. They weren't over the top with plot, and the ending wasn't a giant failed attempt to put things together like 4. It explained things a lot clearer, and actually changed my opinion on the other SAW films.I didn't love how it started out, and the Special FX wasn't great. One thing I still don't love is that they have so much technology and supplies, and this goes for everything past SAW 2. Some of the traps just would not be possible unless he was loaded, and took months and months to design and build. I wish the traps were as simply created as the original. No machinery involved.I will say it didn't seem like there were as many plot flaws, although I noticed one chronologic error that was pretty big.Anways, what did you guys think?Joe

I loved it. I think the Saw series has done the best job of keeping continuity solid throughout. I realize that the movies have been shot in a very short period of time, but you'll never find another series that has stayed so "true to the story" throughout. The really awesome thing is...after Saw VI there will be fanedits and websites devoted to reconstructing the series in chronological order.

I am probably one of the biggest fans of the series... and I really like saw 5. After, watching saw 5 it made me appreciate saw 4 a little more and that was needed since I didn't care so much for the fourth installment. I still view saw 1-3 like I view the orignal first three star wars movies... in a class by themselves. Its clear that the series was meant to end at Saw 3 at least the good storyline was ended, and then everything else past three was to make money... none the less I still love the series.

I thought saw v was alright I liked it about the same as part 4. I liked the people in the group trap because they were not really freaking out when they woke up they knew jigsaw had them and what was in store for them. I didn't like how the characters were talking to themselves a lot to explain the plot or more the story along it just seemed like an easy out by the writers who don't get that people are not as stupid as Hollywood thinks they are. People who are watching can see the same files and information the character is seeing and can figure out what it means to the story. Also the final "Surprise" ending was weak but the end result was cool. I'am still looking foward to seeing part 6 and see where the story will go from here. I'm still holding out for either we meet john's twin brother and he starts killing or they re-animate john's body and ship him to space.

It's that time again! These were actually my Saw 5 poster ideas, but we could convert them to 6...no problem!

My opinion? Should have stopped making them after the first one! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" />

Every time I watch the first one, I can't stop thinking about how they fucked up.

I consider Saw in the same category as Scream. The first ones were great and the rest are studio cash grabs.Great looking puppet and Ghostface costume.
