Hey guys,I've seen quite a few posts lately (and in the past) about people having computer issues which generally related to some sort of infection on their computer. Working as a computer technician, I see this EVERY DAY. Literally 80% of the service that I do are related to computers that are infections. A PC's performance slowing down suddenly, random popups, annoying "free" antivirus programs installed on your system, and website redirection are all signs (but not all of the signs) of an infection. Do you think those "free" programs really give you the best protection? Sure, they are better than nothing. But normally, if you really want to be safe, you need a program that you pay a yearly fee for. If you go to the store, you are definitely going to pay more than what I am offering here. Also, most of the "big name" protection programs (i.e. Norton/Mcafee) have really fallen behind as far as protection and performance over the last few years. My personal favorite is Kaspersky. In this case, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. I received a few copies from work and don't really need them. These are for a FULL 1-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO THE KASPERSKY SERVICE. The subscription will begin the day that you install it onto your computer and activate it.I'm selling it for <!--sizeo:200<!--/sizeo$25<!--sizec<!--/sizec (I currently have 4 copies)Read More About It Here: http://usa.kaspersky.com/products_services...y&HBX_OU=50Features:

Essential Protection

Protects from all types of malware and spyware

Scans files, email messages and Internet traffic

Protects instant messengers (ICQ, MSN)

Updates automatically

Extended Protection

Two-way personal firewall

Safe Wi-Fi and VPN connections.

Intrusion prevention system

Preventive Protection

Intelligent application management and control.

Proactive protection from unknown threats

Scans OS and applications for vulnerabilities.

Disables links to malware sites.

Identity Theft Protection

Disables links to phishing websites

Virtual keyboard for safe entry of logins and passwords.

Prevents theft of data via secure connections (HTTPS / SSL).

Blocks unauthorized dial-up connections

Content Filtering

Parental control

Antispam protection

System Requirements:Intel Pentium 300 MHz or higher (or equivalent)256 MB available RAM

I work as a computer technician myself, and yes, a quality antivirus/internet security program is a must.I'm not familiar with Kaspersky, though (probably because I live in Norway...).

Great stuff. I use it because of how little if effects your system's performance (compared to other protection programs).

A good antivirus/antispyware program is a must these days. I've heard good things about Kaspersky, some of my clients use it. For $25 you really can't go wrong, the retail on that program is about $70. These programs usually run from $50 - $100 and up.Jeff-
