Very hard question to answer. There's a lot of directors I would, but a lot of those directors are far past their prime and couldn't direct traffic if their life depended on it now. I'd select an actor because of that, an actor that has been in a few movies that I love and I'd select someone like William Butler (directs now) or Ted White.

Ridley Scott. He may not be strictly horror, but he did do Hannibal. Also, ALIEN and Blade Runner. Also not horror but I don't care. There isn't anyone in the horror field I would care to meet to be honest. Maybe George Romero, because I love anything he puts out, but other than that, nah.
