I compiled these for another forum to showcase my previous work but felt like posting them here, too. A couple of the angles are *slightly* off, but I hope everyone enjoys it anyway!<img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/Part%204%20Sculpture/TheBestComparison-2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Thanks for looking and cheers,Ryan

Ryan, to me, that's all the more reason you should do another one. It's the most accurate pt 4 I've ever seen to match up w/ those pics. And everyone wants a 1:1 scale. You are the man to make it happen. Just sayin, but I respect whatever your decision is.

yes a 1:1 needs to be done <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> . but maybe if you are going to sculpt something new then i'd say try something that hasn't been done yet or there are very few of . mike,

Thanks a lot for the comments, everyone! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> <!--quoteo(post=317239:date=Jun 13 2009, 09:48 AM:name=WarLocK)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE (WarLocK @ Jun 13 2009, 09:48 AM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=317239\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecRyan, to me, that's all the more reason you should do another one. It was created using the driving force of inspiration and anger that I've accumulated over the last 10 years to finally own a really awesome and accurate Part 4 replica. If I were to remake this design in a life-size version, the motivation just wouldn't be there. I'd only be doing it for monetary purposes because I'm currently burned out on the design. Therefore, I don't trust myself to make it NEARLY as accurate as I did the first time around...Not yet, anyway.Furthermore, I'd end up stepping on the toes of a LOT of fine people, including Justin, my friend James, and even Jim Kagel himself...That would be bad times.I understand it's a bad decision to NOT sculpt a full size Part 4 cause I'd sell like hundreds of them if I did, but that simply isn't what I'd like to do right now. That's why I posted the thread to gauge interest in the Phantom design, because I'm dead set to make my next piece "something that ISN'T Jason-related."Thanks and cheers,Ryan

Thanks, Colin and Scream4Me! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> Colin, I'll keep you updated...The pull is outside curing as I type this.I didn't realize the pics would come out so small when I uploaded them to Photobucket! Here is a much larger version of the same image:<img src=\"http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h98/MoonlitDevil/Part%204%20Sculpture/TheBestComparison-2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Cheers,Ryan

<img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wacko.gif\" /> I haven't posted in a while but I just think this whole post is absolutely laughable...The sculpt is great..But for you to say your stepping on toes of very seasoned people in the field is actually an insult in itself to them Ryan...Please take this in the lightest way possible, but the differences here between you and those other guys is clearly the fact that they continue to get better and do ORIGINAL interpretations on said icons. You do one sculpt and have to announce to the world that you will not or cannot do another one!!!!..sounds like a cry for attention if you ask me.Sure people want things to be as close as possible but goddamn man!!!Strive to look @ things differently and new without beng so crucial on perfection.I like the sculpt and it looks really accurate..good job...Good luck on everything.I also see you are watching this topic ready to jump on the slightest criticism..But like I said..It's a very nice sculpt and you should be proud..but sculpt and produce finished work for several more years first before you compare yourself to those other creators.J-

Jason,You are taking every single thing Ryan said and twisting and distorting it completely. Not once did Ryan compare himself to any of those people. He looks up to and admires every single one of them for everything they have accomplished. He is specifically saying that he doesn't even remotely want to take the chance of doing something that cuts into what they are doing now, for example. A part 4 undermask. That is it....This thread isn't about calling attention to himself. It is about all the emails and pm's he has gotten on whether or not he is going to be doing a lifesize version of it....Now all the other stuff about originality and whatnot....there was and is no place for that in this thread It is almost as if you are trying to instigate something. Just let it go.....take care,Tommy
