Awesome film.Absolutely awesome.Revisionist? Yes.Bastardized? Possibly, but the name would be appropo. You have to check this out. I teach a course on WWII and was absolutely entranced at this film. It had me in tears and in stitches.

I thought it was very boring the majority of the time. Tarentino takes way to long to set anything up and its all dialog. The Basterds needed way more screen time as they were the lone brightspot to this film. there were a few good laughs though. KNB did a nice job on the effects.

I dug it, but it was slow at times and yes the Basterds need to be in it more.

I absolutely loved the film. People will always complain about the dialogue in his films, but I think that's Tarantino's forte. You can't go to ANY Tarantino film looking for tons of action, that's not his style. Even though it's a "war" film, it's HIS war film.Again, absolutely loved it. Cleverly written, fanTASTIC acting by the foreign actors in the film, especially "Colonel Landa."

The opening scene nearly gave me a heart attack! If you want a normal war film, go watch something stupid like "Behind Enemy Lines" or "GIJOE."I loved it when I left the theaters, a whole bunch of whiny, silly-tattooed teenagers were complaining, "There was too much talking in that film."Guess what people, WW2 occurred over six years, and the majority of it was spent talking.Anyone can show a war, it takes a genius to word one.<!--colorc</span><!--/colorc

First off, let me start off by saying I'm a huge Tarantino fan, I love his movies, and a movie about WWII and Nazi killers, how could he go wrong? Well, he did. I was disappointed by this film, I don't understand how the Basterds were such a small part of this movie, and the rest was just talking. This wasn't his usual smart talk dialog, it was BORING. I wouldn't see this movie again to be honest.
