Fedor completely owned Rogers.I originally thought that Fedor would sub Rogers but the knock out was a highlight reel amazing Mike Tyson type of punch.I personally think that Brock Lesnar would not have a chance against Fedor.

I have to disagree. Fedor did not "completely own" anything. He scored a one punch knockdown, thats it.He lost the first round and was a bloody mess from a single jab. He was taking a nice combo to the head at the end of the round while on his back too, so Rogers had the upperhand. In the 2nd, it was pretty even, but Rogers who wasn't experienced enough, had his hands down and Fedor dropped him. He wasnt unconscious tho, he brought his hands right up to block and the fight was stopped. But lets get real, this fight should never have been made to begin with. Rogers only had 10 fights, cmon. And going up against the best man o beat? That's why it was on CBS, because they knew they couldnt sell this fight on PPV, no one would take it seriously.

i don't see how someone who follows MMA can try to criticize this fight. rogers has is an equal opponent to shane carwin, who was scheduled to be challenging brock lesnar (before he pulled out due to illness) in a ppv bout later this month. both shane and rogers are (in rogers case now, was) undefeated, with all wins coming by KO. both have one win over top 10 opponents, rogers knocking out arlovski and carwin KOing gonzaga. fedor has been the champion and #1 heavyweight for 6 years now. he is basically undefeated (you really can't count the "loss") boasting a record of 31-1. he's beat more top 10 fighters than anyone and has never even been knocked down in a fight. can you honestly say that's not "pay per view" worthy? cbs is a major media outlet broadcasted in the homes of millions across the world. in russia alone, fedor's home country, cbs is broadcasted into 120 million homes.

oh but by the way, great fight. rogers has a lot of talent and heart, but fedor is really that good. going to be interesting to see if anyone is a threat to him in the near future. maybe alistair overeem.

Nobody is invincible!Fedor will eventually have his day when he gets beaten by the better man.Great fight, Rogers had the upperhand with some nice ground and pound during the first round and busted Fedors nose with a solid blow early on.Had this fight been held in UFC, it probably would've been stopped that first round in Rogers favor.

Fedor didn't own Rogers at all. Rogers made a terrific showing, and in my opinion his stock went up. He stood toe to toe with him and unfortunately he got caught, but not before doing some big damage of his own. It was a very entertaining fight, and I hope that he gets a rematch down the road.

it would not have been stopped in the ufc. the cut didn't impair fedor's vision and it wasn't a bleeding artery. the only time he was in trouble, fedor took 3 shots on the ground and didn't lose his composure for even a second. no, he is not invincible and rogers fought really well. but to say rogers would've warranted a stoppage is dumb.

His size and strength are the only reasons he did well in the 1st round. But one jump in punch had him fall like a tree. And CBS is a major media outlet, but it wasn't even shown live on the west coast. People are out partying at 8pm on a Saturday night. 8pm is usually when a main event starts on PPV, but thats when the cbs card started. Fedor didn't fight until 10:30pm PT or so. That shows the lack of importance this fight held.If no one gave Rogers a chance based on his inexperience and the outcome showed that, then most people were right. Common opponents means nothing because Kimbo and Rogers both fought Thompson and won, but Kimbo SUX. So based onw hat you said, then Kimbo would've been perfect for either, but he would have to lost both.
