Additional Scenes Being Shot For Nightmare On Elm Street!

Website Spoiler TV has posted a new casting breakdown for the Platinum Dunes remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, which has been doing rounds of test screenings as of late. It appears that the entirely new scene will involve new characters. Maybe it'll be used as plot explanation to clear up something that confused the test audiences? Shooting additional scenes IS different than reshoots, so who knows the actual reason for the forthcoming filming. Being released by Warner Bros. on April 30, a group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another…but when they sleep, there is no escape. Thanks to CHUD for the tip.

It can also be because a scene would not secure an MPAA R rating, and that scene is being reshot or another scene to take the place on an omitted scene. It can also be fro bad reviews of an existing scene- so many possibilities.

i would imagine the film was poorly executed, and the test audience was left wanting more.
