Curious... has anyone heard Robert Englund make any comments about what he thought of the new Nightmare with JEH? I can't seem to find anything that he's said about it.

I'd also like to know, I have searched youtube before and have come up with nothing. I thought perhaps at the last weekend of horrors event there might be some video someone might have got as it has to be a question he gets a lot now...

I think that, in our hearts, we already know the answer to this question...

    Cheers,

I'm going to have to agree with Ryan here.

Keep in mind this is all opinion based. I just feel the new ANOES just didn't capture the evil that was Freddy. Nothing about that film was really ANOES, besides a couple of shots that I loved, but besides that it was a very forgettable film.

Well... given that Robert was praising JEH and touting his talent and potential when the news broke that he was cast as Freddy, it'd be interesting to hear his thoughts on Jackie's portrayal. I thought the film was quite entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking for Robert's opinion on this subject... don't assume Robert agrees with yours. Though he might, it'd still be nice to hear his thoughts on it one way or another.

That's why I said keep in mind this is opinion based. Personally, I loved Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy, I just think it wasn't very Freddy like. It was different and new, doesn't mean it was bad. There is just a lot of the movie I didn't like, but for a remake it was very decent, especially considering a lot of Platinum Dunes other work. I'll be picking up the DVD for sure, it's still a fun watch.

It would be interesting to hear Robert's opinion. His actual opinion, not something he is just giving to be supportive lol.

Strange... he said he was very interested in seeing how it turned out. I guess a celebrity's life makes it tough to watch a flick these days. Then again.. a lot of actors say they never even watch the movies they make.
