hey guys, im about to place an order for some more mask materials, ive always worked with oil based, clay and found it cheap, but its harder to work with, ive been reffered to wed clay by a few people, and also white clay. could someone tell what mt best bet would be? water or wed?
    thanks

Did you use Roma #2 clay? That\'s the ideal clay for mask making, Mark had me get that kind. If you don\'t want that, then i would go with WED.

I\'m not really a sculptor... But I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night Wink

WED is cheaper and faster... BUT, you may run into more problems with it. It can and will dry out on you. If this happens, it will shrink and crack. You need to keep a nice thickness if you sculpture on a bust. Thin spots dry out real fast.. Its difficult to get the hang of using the stuff but roughing out shapes and forms is a breeze! Dont let me turn you against it because some people swear by it!

ok thanks for that info, thats what i needed to know. ive been using the same oil based clay for about a year now, and i love it, but it takes ages to get the right shape down. i think ill go with wed, and hope that it dosent dry out on me... Smile
