Just finished this a few days ago and already won scariest/ugliest at one event. This is my second Creeper costume, lots more pics and vids to come. I also will be doing another better life-sized, and a few other versions later on. I also had huge wings for this but did not have time to finish the second version with the hands and feet yet. But I actually think this looks "creepier" because the Creeper is disguising itself to look human, and the wings would give that away. But when you look closer you can see he is not human. But I have some slits in the back that the wings fit in. But they look better with no hat, demon type feet, and hands. I might also do an exposed part 2 chest.
I wanted to cut out a mask for years now and try out my rippers, but was not sure just how to cut it and have it still look real. Then I saw Wickedbeard do it pretty well and it looked great, so I kinda modeled mine after that. I also liked the beard so I made my own and painted it. I also added more hair by gluing on and cutting a witch wig, and painting it to match. I then took the original hair and cut it in half and put it on the sides and blended it in. I did not wear make-up on my eyes in this video as I hate trying to get it off, and is tough to see to put it on my eyes without glasses, but you can't really tell because I left the eyes small enough to create shadows. With the hat on especially. I used make-up on my face and added some black on the gums and teeth. I put as much make-up on my lips as I could and try to keep out of my mouth. But so far everyone loved it, and the reactions at the parade were great.
People were scared crapless and I got tons of questions. I got to start getting videos of parades. I was going to cut out the chin too and then glue it or strap it to my own, but that would just be another thing to worry about coming off or something, so this works fine. The nask is big and I had to put foam and a sponge in the back to bring my face closer forward to fill it out. But not too close, or I would need to cut the eyes more and wear make-up all the time. But at night it is not needed. I love how it turned out, and the weathering a lot better and more subtle than my first. The life-sized should be awesome too! Here my first teaser video so far. Can't wait to get a better video camera, editing software, and lighting to take my work to the next level. But this actually looks better in darker lighting. I also weathered and cut the hat some, which doubles as ventilation holes. Pics and more videos to come! Hope you like the victim POV at the end lol.
