Well, after over a year and a half of playing with this piece in between work and other projects, I FINALLY finished my Karloff from \'Bride Of Frankenstein\' full size bust.
I sculpted this piece back in 2009 as a \'Son Of Franky\' bust. I decided to do up a pull, foam fill it, and turn it into the Monster from \'Bride\', as other than the make-up, Boris looked pretty much the same underneath.
I had to add the extra \'staples\' and scarring to his head, along with, of course, the burns. I slit his mouth and pulled out more foam around the area where Karloff removed his false teeth to give him that \'indent\' in his cheek to make him look more cadaverous. I built up the eyelids a lot more, as I wasn\'t happy with how I sculpted them originally, and sculpted and molded new resin bolts (electrodes) for his neck. His eyes are acrylic, and he has eyelashes (which were tricky, to say thge least, to install). I haired him appropriately, and added his shirt and heavy jacket, which were then scuffed up to look as they do in the film. I always knew that I would paint him in beautiful Black & White, to capture the essence of his appearance in the film, and I think it was the right choice.
I have to give a HUGE Thank-You to Dan Roebuck for sending me some gorgeous detailed pics of Boris in make-up from the set of the film. These pics were essential in getting all the detail right.
Well, enough blabbing. Here are a bunch of pics, taken both outside and inside, in natural lighting, with NO flash. I hope you enjoy them!

I saw this in person at Andrew\'s last week and it is gorgeous. We both stood back from it, and the way the light hit it, it looked just like Boris in makeup right in front of us.
    Beautiful work me old china.
