After finally seeing DOTD I have a few mixed feelings on it. Well, I didn\'t like how they never explained why everybody turned into zombies. Granted the movie was entertaining, but I wish there was more eating people. I mean, sure, they bit, but it was kinda like Resident Evil and 28 Days Later all over again.

But I did like the zombie action, and a few parts were visually stunning at that. As a matter of fact, the plotlessness of the whole thing was my only complaint.

The original Dawn never told how the zombies came to be either, it was a sequel to NOTLD. I think leaving that out makes it a bit creepier than adding some campy "military gas and/or goop leaked into a graveyard" reason for it all.

Yeah, just like the TCM remake, the DotD remake was a awesome movie, but it was not as good as the original. I can\'t really put my finger on the exact reason....

This isn\'t related but I FINALLY saw Evil Dead and I loved it! It was a very well done movie, and for a budget of $375,000 it\'s amazing! My friends and I are making a VS horror movie with a budget of $3,750 that\'s going to be better... Tongue

yeah, the reason why the zombie thing happened was never explained, i sort of prefer it that way....otherwise its usually voodoo or a chemical,,,

but i am dissapointed there was only 1 good chomp scene (begining at the neck) when u think about it, thats the only real zombie bite.....kinda sad compared to the first, but this is a different time and that kinda voilence is most definatly tough to put in a flick.

damn dude I paid $6.50!!! $9.00 is ridiculous where do you live??

Eddie in the remake of NOTLD it was a space probe in the original it was above ground nuclear testing so take your pick. but they never mentioned the reason in either the original dawn or day of the dead. it was more about the aftermath than the initial outbreak. I too was kind of miffed about the lack of gut munching but the gore was definatly more than what I\'ve seen in a movie in long time so I guess I can\'t complain. I thought the movie was good, but not as good as the original. what really matters is it generates enough interest to get the 4th movie made Twilight or Dusk of the dead. Also I wouldn\'t mind a remake of day( if done as well as the first two remakes) might as well do the whole series right?

    As Robert Shaye once said:

"If the audience has voiced an interest in a particular product, and it is suitable for making sequels, that\'s a great thing!"
