So I got a PM today. one like may others I have recieved in the past. I thought I would go ahead and squash this. I have never owned or even been in contact with a Robert Englund life cast. All the Freddy masks I have sculpted are from scratch. TDC was sculpted on a life cast but it was not from Robert. Just a simple bust to sculpture on. My new \'Vs\' was actually sculpted on a wig head and PVC pipe....
The reason for the mouth.... Sinse I was a kid I always hated walking around in a mask with the mouth open, thats all. If I were doing stationary busts then I would definately go with an open mouth, showing some teeth. I dont have anything against the look, just not for a mask. Looks more natural IMO.
When I saw that Dan had a RE life cast I called him, giddy as a school girl. I even talked to Paul about it. I realized though that a piece like that should be kept private and not slip out to the public. RE\'s life casts have always been \'guarded\' if you will, and for good reason (again, IMO).
I appreciate those of you think/thought I sculpture on one but unfortunatly, I dont. I take it as a compliment...

lol, yeah we had the convo about how do his compare to the cast... because he was interested in how good he did..i told him DAMN good, but he never mentioned that he used a cast or even would if he had one... for ref i guess...think about this guys...R.E\'s head is small if a cast was to be used to make a mask it would be so tiny it wouldnt even be a mask unless you were like 8, lol

put it this way .... if Mark had a Robert lifecast , why in the world would he make a RE bust ? it\'s not a mask so what\'s the point in making a bust from scratch if you have a lifecast of him . but that just shows Marks great skills . he doesn\'t need a RE lifecast to sculpture the most awesome freddy masks .
