Next Gen Systems

Just Wondering on what you guys are thinking about the next generation systems. I am sure alot of people on this board play video games or at least own an xbox or ps2. well e3 is going live for tommorow 18-20 of may. xbox is planning on coming out with xbox 360 in november. ps3 will possibly come out in 2006 along with nintendo\'s revolution. just want to know what you think of the next generation systems and which one you planning on buying! well alot of information can be found at www.ign.com, they have a lot of info on the systems but now its on with some pictures! the standard now for the controllers is for them to go wireless.

Yep Microsoft is planning on releasing the Xbox 360 this november, which is almost a year earlier then the other systems. Be sure to get one for Christmas! Microsoft also plans on releasing HALO 3 possibly when the other systems come out to get major sales, so that people walk in the store and buy halo 3 not ps3 or revolution. Microsoft has it all planed out.

well fucking up really doesn\'t matter for microsoft seeing how they have more money then sony and nintendo put together n then some. every system has its flaws but thats not going to stop people from buying it. who knows maybe i\'ll wait a little while to see if the xbox 360 does screw up, you make a good point.

both systems look impressive and will totally be a personal call which u buy...but microsoft has more money than sony and nintendo for a reason, they rip us off I.E charging online play when sony doesnt.

to me xbox wasnt a libray system like sony was and has been....its been more like " goto my friends house and play the big 2 games that hit it"

from personal experience only, I have two xboxes, as well as two gamecubes and I have never had a single problem from any of them. The two ps2s i have owned, however, are a different story. One of them just stopped reading games and would only read dvds. It finally got to the point where it would only read dvds sometimes, so i threw it out. The next ps2 i got, which i still currently have, will no longer work at all. It just stays stuck at the main screen and is eternally loading or something. I am not a fanboy of any of the consoles. I am just going by what has happened to me. I will not jump at any of the consoles until they have been out for awhile and everything reaches its plateau so to speak in respect to hype. Until then, i will keep playing the ones i have.

there was a point in time, VF_31, when using an exclusive game title for a console was a legitimate point in what system to buy. But now, with the exception of those rare few titles..ala Halo..everything is being ported to everything else. GTA, for example, will eventually come to xbox, just as all the past incarnations have. Most game companies nowadays are scared to sign an exclusive contract with any console company. Look at how bad the RE exclusivity deal went with capcom in respect to the Gamecube. They finally got fed up with it and have now started releasing RE games for the PS2 i think....just my two cents
