    okay guys,

i don\'t know how many of you are Harry Potter fans so I may be in the minority here. Regardless, I need some help. We are going to be having a Harry Potter theme night where I work, and I would like to dress up as Rubeus Hagrid. I am about 6 foot 3 but I would really like to build some platform/elevator boots in order to make me much taller. If anyone has any ideas or can point me in the right direction of where to look, it would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I figured I would post this here since we have some special effects guys around that might have an idea as to what I can do....

    Thanks
    Tommy

Ah, cool. Well dude, I do know they sell stacker shoes somewhere. Or you could get some platform shoes and a very long trench like him.

i would prefer building them myself. I like to make rather than buy stuff. I have some boots already for one of my voorhees costumes that i made that make me about 6 ft 8in when i have them on...but i would like for these to be authentic to the Hagrid look...but thanks for the input

Don\'t knock Harry Potter...those books are amazing. I got hooked on them last year and now I feel like every 10 year old out there waiting in anticipation for the next one to come out in July. Seriously, if you have not picked up this series, try it...you\'ll like it.

Anyway, make sure to post pics Tommy! I want to see that Hagrid costume!

You really can\'t make them unless your want a brick on the bottom...I would recommend going to a thrift shop. That\'s where I got a pair for 5 bucks. My brother works at blockbuster too, I wish the people were that cool there!
