Hey all... Ok so I bought a Classic He-Man figure off eBay... The seller was stating it was in MINT condition and UNopened... So I thought sweet... SO I get it today... and the thing looks like someone has stomped all over it and is creased all over... the box it came in was unopen and undamaged... so it came from the seller like that... NOW Ive emailed the seller asking for my money back... nothing... Ive filed a complaint with pay pal to get a refund... NOW Im wondering if Pay Pal tells me screw you your loss... I KNOW I can go to my credit card company and dispute the charge and get it reversed on my card... now IF that happens does Pay Pal through that money onto MY Pay Pal account and say I owe them say $100? Or will they reverse that onto the sellers account and say he owes them $100 now?? I hope this makes sense...

    Any help would be awesome!

    Cheers in advance!

I don\'t have first hand experience with filing disputes with Paypal (although apparently I was too late to file a couple  ), a guy I work with did just that...contacted his credit card company who in turn went after Paypal. He did get the card charges returned...but Paypal terminated his account!!

If you\'re worried about it...before you call your credit card company, transfer all funds to your bank account  .

I know some punk a coulpe year back disputed a huge charge on his CC# and Pay Pal reversed the funds from my account... and I know to this day his account is still going...

You\'re screwed....you can complain to ebay, but there\'s no way to get your money back...your best shot is to tell your credit card company that you are disputing the charge, but ebay makes no guarantee as to the condition of items and getting a refund off that.

I have a gut feeling itll come down to disptuing the charges with my CC Co.... I emailed the seller and told him I wouldnt leave negative feedback if he\'d refund my $$... he\'s already left me + feedback so its not like he\'s gonna turn around and give me negative feedback either... damn... I hate shit like this... its sucha pain.... I guess if my account gets closed then Ill have to open one in my fiance\'s name... Big Grin

    Cheers

Another thing too... I have an unconfirmed address so maybe the dispute may work for me? If that makes sense?

    Cheers

It won\'t. You do not need a new account....leave him a negative and dispute the charge with your CC company, simple as that.

I had a dispute once...it was for 35 bucks worth of goods...paypal decided in my favor...I got back 5 bucks...because the seller was a deadbeat and basically disappeared...

Yeah but someone already mentioned if I dispute the charge with the CC Co. then my Pay Pal account will be closed?
